This is Caroline Cataldo’s third season with DanceWorks Boston and she is so excited to be choreographing her first piece for the company. She was trained in ballet, jazz, lyrical, modern and hip hop at Nancy Chippendale’s Dance Studios in North Andover, Massachusetts -- but, by far, her favorite style of dance is tap. As a member of the studio’s competition team, she had the opportunity to perform on regional, national and international stages. In 2003, Caroline traveled to Riesa, Germany for the IDO World Show Dance Championships where her team earned the bronze medal. She then returned to Germany in 2004 for the IDO World Tap Dance Championships, earning the silver and gold medals. In college, Caroline choreographed extensively for the Holy Cross Dance Ensemble as well as serving as movement director/choreographer for the Holy Cross Theater Department. When she is not in the studio, Caroline can most likely be found crafting rhythms under her desk at Brandeis University where she works as a videographer/social media guru in the university’s Office of Institutional Advancement.
