Ericka began dancing at The Gold School at the age of two where she studied contemporary, ballet, modern, jazz, tap, and hip hop. She was a member of the studio's Project Moves Dance Company where she competed at regional and national competitions and preformed many benefit and company shows, including ...accept me, an anti-bullying campaign. With Project Moves she toured in 2011, including dancing at The Joyce Theater in New York City. Ericka went on to study Human Services and Rehabilitation Studies and Psychology at Assumption College, and joined the dance team her freshman year. The team competed at NDA Collegiate Nationals in Daytona Beached and placed 2nd in 2012. Ericka went on to become captain of the team for her junior and senior years, helping the team increase their campus presence by performing at many campus sporting events in jazz, hip hop and, pom and the team's community involvement by participating and performing at Relay For Life and holding dance classes at Why Me and Sherry's House, a program for children and families fighting cancer as well as maintaining their competitive team locally and nationally. Ericka is currently working in Hartford Hospital's Emergency and Trauma Center. Ericka is very excited to be in the DanceWorks Boston community for a fourth season and her second choreographing.
