Mackenzie Pollock is in her second season with DanceWorks Boston, and hails from Farmington, NY. She began dancing at the age of three, trained at the Tammy Allen Dance Academy, and competed in Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Lyrical, Modern, Hip Hop, Contemporary and Broadway throughout grade school. During summers, Mackenzie traveled with family and received the opportunity to work with various choreographers such as Mandy Moore, Sabra Johnson, Katie Spreadbury and Dee Caspary. After high school, Mackenzie spent a year at Keuka College, in Penn Yan, NY, where she was a member of the Keuka Storm Dance Team. After a year, Mackenzie transferred to the Rochester Institute of Technology, where she continued to take classes and choreographed for both the Vis Viva Dance Company and at the Tammy Allen Dance Academy. In 2015, Mackenzie graduated from the Rochester Institute of Technology with a BS in Advertising & Public Relations, an now works as a Program Manager at SapientNitro. She is beyond thankful and excited for the opportunity to work with DanceWorks this season (along side her childhood best friend, Maggie Angus) as a choreographer and dancer.
