Megan began dancing at the age of three but fell in love with the craft when she took her first hip-hop class in junior high. Megan pursued dance fervently throughout her high school career. She was asked to join the senior company at Miss Kay’s School of Dance, where she helped earn gold, high gold, platinum and special awards at regional competitions. She was then recruited to dance on Gordon College’s hip-hop team. She was an active member of the team for three years, earning the titles of “Rookie of the Year” as a freshman and Co-Captain her junior year. Megan choreographed various pieces for the team, including choreography used for state-wide competitions. She acted as choreographer for Gordon’s Theatre Department productions, as well as co-created a movement piece about mental health awareness for her dissertation. Since receiving her B.A. in English and Theatre Arts, Megan’s choreography has been performed in Massachusetts and New York City. She has also trained with PUSH Physical Theatre and taught several dance classes. This is her fourth season with DanceWorks Boston and her second time choreographing for this fantastic company.
