Shelby’s passion for dance began at an early age, at 10 years old she attended Steppin' Out Dance Academy in Kingston, NH. After two years she was recruited by Steppin' Out’s Hip-Hop company and joined the studio’s Elite Team where she also competed in jazz, lyrical, tap, and music theatre. After graduating in 2013 Shelby interned for one year under Kayla Waldron, founder of “Fierce” a dance group in Massachusetts’ North Shore. In that year, Shelby attended Monsters of Hip Hop where she attended classes led by renowned choreographers: Twtich, Kevin Mahr, Laura Edwards, and Tabitha & Napoleon.
Shelby is currently teaching at Kathy Blake Dance Studios in Nashua, NH and teaching her third year at Christine Proia’s dance academy as head Hip-Hop Teacher for recreational/competitive classes. Next Fall she will be attending the Millenium Dance Complex in Los Angeles to become a certified dance instructor.
Shelby is eager and excited to attend her fifth season at DanceWorks as a dancer and choreographer this Fall!
