Brit grew up in New York and started dancing at the age of five. Up through high school, they primarily trained in tap, jazz, ballet, and lyrical. Brit went to Bates College and double majored in neuroscience and dance, with an emphasis in choreography. There, they trained predominantly] in modern and worked with artists such as Kendra Ross, Kimberly Bartosik, Mark Jeffrey, Nina Martin, Nora Chipumaire, and James Graham. That’s where she also first got into hip hop and fell in love with choreographing. After graduating, Brit moved to London to earn their MSc in Dance Science at Trinity Laban Conservatoire, where they studied the application of interdisciplinary research on dance training and performance.

Brit moved to Boston in the summer of 2022 and started training throughout Boston. In the summer of 2023, they were grateful to be a part of Boston Dance Studios’s Pre-Professional Program, intensely training in ballet, contemporary, floorwork, heels, hip hop, jazz, modern, and street jazz. Through this program, she had the opportunity to work closely with artists such as Levi Marsman, Pat Planet, Nick Silva, Junior Cius, and Anthony Burrell. After completing the program, Brit joined the Boston Dance Studios team as their Administrative Manager, and continues to train in contemporary, heels, and hip hop. She has also had the fortunate opportunity to teach and choreograph throughout the Boston dance community. This is Brit’s fifth season dancing and second season choreographing for DanceWorks, and they are so excited for Season 27!
