Casey began dancing when she was 3 at Dance Creations Inc. in Woonsocket, RI. Growing up she trained in tap, jazz, ballet and pointe, later on gaining hip hop and contemporary, experience, but tap was always her favorite! At Dance Creations she competed in regional competitions and was also an assistant teacher. Casey attended college at Bridgewater State University where she graduated with degrees in both Elementary Education and Math. Not ready to give up dance, her sophomore year she discovered the BSU Dance Company where she immediately became involved for the next three years performing in shows twice a year. Casey choreographed two tap pieces for the company, one of which was voted on and awarded “The Most Entertaining Choreography” award for the semester. She was also the Treasurer on BSUDC’s executive board during her senior year. Casey now works as a teacher and is returning to Bridgewater to pursue her Master’s in Elementary and STEM Education. Casey cannot wait to be back in the studio with her favorite people for her second season of DanceWorks and is even more excited for her first season as a choreographer!
