Mina Vahedi
Mina grew up in Brookline, MA and began her dance training at the Joanne Langione Dance Center (JLDC) in Newton when she was three years old. Over her many years there, she was trained in ballet, tap, jazz, modern, contemporary, lyrical, pointe and hip-hop. During high school, Mina competed with JLDC and assisted her dance teachers in classes for younger students. She attended Boston University for both undergrad and graduate school where she studied Elementary and Reading Education. She joined the all-female Hip-Hop group, Vibes, at the end of her freshman year. Mina loved dancing with Vibes throughout college and served on the executive board in her junior and senior years. She currently teaches kindergarten in Belmont. Mina was so happy to have the opportunity to join DanceWorks in Season 11 and feels so lucky to be a part of this company. She is full of gratitude for the opportunity to continue dancing and choreographing and feels so grateful for the amazing friends she has made along the way!
