Mina Vahedi

Mina grew up in Brookline, MA and began her dance training at the Joanne Langione Dance Center (JLDC) in Newton when she was three years old. Over her many years there, she was trained in ballet, tap, jazz, modern, contemporary, lyrical, pointe and hip-hop. During high school, Mina competed regionally with JLDC and assisted her dance teachers in classes for younger students. She attended Boston University for both undergrad and graduate school where she studied Elementary and Reading Education. She joined the all-female Hip-Hop group, Vibes, at the end of her freshman year. Mina loved dancing with Vibes throughout college and served on the executive board in her junior and senior years. She currently teaches kindergarten in Belmont. Mina was so happy to have the opportunity to join DanceWorks in Season 11, and is very excited to be choreographing again!
