Raimi discovered her passion for the arts early on in life, and has spent almost all of it in serious study of dance and violin. Raised in the Dallas metroplex, she trained and performed for 14 years in all genres, and competed for 5, at Cindy’s School of Dance in Allen, Texas. During her final year there, she toured with LA Dance Magic as a member of the convention's Senior Company, training in all areas of dance while being taught the business aspects of the entertainment industry. She performed with and assisted the LADM faculty in Houston, Santa Clara, Dallas, Detroit, Austin, and Los Angeles.

Raimi also studied advanced tap privately for 2 years with Katelyn Harris, founder/director of Dallas’s Rhythmic Souls Tap Company. She trained and performed with RSTC’s youth company for 3 years and apprenticed with their Pre-Professional Company for a year, co-producing/choreographing the full-length show, Breaking Equilibrium, with the other members of the apprentice company. While apprenticing, she got the opportunity to assist teaching all levels of advanced tap, as well as beginning adult tap, back at her home studio, Cindy’s School of Dance.

Throughout her time dancing, Raimi studied violin as well, taking private lessons for 13 years, performing in the Greater Dallas Youth Orchestras for 10 years, in the Texas All-Region Orchestras for 4 years, and Texas All-State Orchestras for 2 years. Her violin studies culminated in back-to-back scholarships to Interlochen Fine Arts Academy Summer Music Programs, and a scholarship to pursue a Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance at the Boston Conservatory, while minoring in Dance.

Raimi studied violin at the Conservatory for two years, taking semester-length courses through their Dance Conservatory as well as attending their Summer Commercial Dance Intensive. While a student, she worked as a choreographer and performer in various small group numbers for other students at the Conservatory and at Berklee College of Music. She sought and continues to receive additional training at the Boston Ballet School, Boston Dance Studios, and a variety of area workshops and intensives. She’s been performing with Danceworks Boston since Season 23, and is excited and grateful for the opportunity to choreograph a piece for Season 27.
